The future of Oliver Sonne in the upcoming European season could take a giant leap, as the player himself has confirmed that Darmstadt intends to incorporate him into their squad.
This revelation was made in an interview with Bold newspaper, where he mentioned that he is flattered to have aroused the interest of the aforementioned Bundesliga club.
"It's always fun when there is publicity about you in that way. You always do it because we all go there and hope that someday you can make a big change," he said.
Likewise, the Silkeborg player mentioned that he feels prepared to make the switch in case the transfer is finalized, but he explained that his current club's position also has a lot to do with it.
"I want to say it in such a way that I feel prepared for it, but it has to feel right for everyone. It has to be suitable for the club and for me, and it has to make sense as a whole before it becomes relevant," he asserted.
Sonne is waiting for Damstadt to make an offer
Finally, Oliver Sonne affirmed that he is waiting for Darmstadt to be able to make a formal offer, and emphasized that this would change the landscape because he would analyze it without any problem. However, the defender pointed out that, at this moment, he is happy in Silkeborg.
"I think it's a difficult question, because if the right opportunity arises and the club is satisfied, then you have to sit down and look at it. However, it is clear that I am happy to be where I am," he concluded.
