The Bayern Munich coach, Thomas Tuchel, admitted on Saturday that the situation of the Senegalese player Sadio Mané in the club is not easy after an unsatisfactory season and with a lot of competition in the positions he could play.
"Sadio had an unsatisfactory season. His performance was below expectations, below his own expectations and below the expectations of the club", said Tuchel in the preseason concentration of Bayern.
"The competition for him is very tough. Kingsley Coman, who is extremely important to us, and Serge Gnabry, who has regained his form, play in the position where I see him best. That creates a constellation that is extremely difficult for him", he added.
Tuchel stated that Mané knows his opinion and the opinion of the club but added that he is still "our player, he has a contract and it is natural for him to be in the concentration".
Mané is considered one of the main candidates to leave Bayern and some media have claimed that the club would be willing to accept an offer.
