One of the Peruvian soccer players who has had the pleasure of playing abroad, especially in Europe, is Percy Olivares, who is currently retired but still linked to the world of football. Recently, he confessed that Zinedine Zidane once approached him for something completely unexpected by national football fans.
It turns out that, during the most recent broadcast of the well-known ESPN program 'Equipo F', 'Zancudo' commented that on one occasion the world champion had a great gesture with him. "Zidane approached me and changed jerseys," Percy Olivares said to the surprise of the other panelists on the show.
As it is known, few Peruvians have had contact with world champions or big football stars, especially nowadays. And the most remembered is Claudio Pizarro, who has met with great references in football history because of his great work at Bayern Munich and in general within European football.
Therefore, Percy Olivares' statements caused quite astonishment, since Zinedine Zidane is a World Cup champion of France 1998, runner-up of Germany 2006, and winner of the Champions League with Real Madrid both as a player and as a coach, achieving a historic three-peat on the bench.
