The surprising and controversial dismissal of Julian Nagelsmann as Bayern Munich's coach continues to make headlines in Germany. Recently, Leon Goretzka made it clear that he did not agree with the decision of the 'Bavarian' board, and now Joshua Kimmich, one of the team's heavyweights, has spoken out about the departure of the 35-year-old coach. The German player stated that there were no problems between the coach and the team.

After Nagelsmann's departure was confirmed and the signing of Thomas Tuchel was announced, sports director Hasan Salihamidzic pointed out that the decision was made because "the relationship between the coach and the team had stopped working". For the board members, the young coach had lost contact with the squad.

In an interview with German television ZDF, Kimmich denied what Salihamidzic said. "I wouldn't say that. The reason is that we have won few matches, we have not had enough success", said the talented midfielder. However, he emphasized that the team is still alive in all competitions and will fight for the titles.

"We continue to fight for local and international tournaments, but it has been seen that we have not had a good performance in the Bundesliga. Out of ten matches, we have won five. But the coach had not lost the dressing room. I have experienced several changes in coach, but it is not that we saw it coming in the dressing room because the players were dissatisfied", he added.

Goretzka, who has been with the giant club in Munich for five seasons, said: "Personally, I can only say that there was no crack in my relationship with Julian. I don't know if it could have been the case with other players, but it is clear that when someone like that is no longer there from one day to the next, it is a shock for everyone."

Neuer and Müller have not yet spoken out

If there are two icons in the current Bayern Munich squad, they are Manuel Neuer and Thomas Müller. International media have been surprised that, so far, neither of the two experienced Germans has spoken out about Julian Nagelsmann's departure.
