When it seemed that Germany was closer to scoring, Spain appeared to take the lead. Striker Álvaro Morata scored the 1-0 for La Furia Roja in the 63rd minute of the match that took place at the Al Bayt Stadium. In the end, Niclas Füllkrug scored the 1-1 for the Germans and both teams shared points.
The play that led to the Spanish goal started on the left side, when Jordi Alba received a pass from Dani Olmo. The Spanish full-back crossed a low ball into the six-yard box and the Atlético Madrid striker appeared, pushing the ball into the net with the outside of his right foot.
Despite goalkeeper Manuel Neuer's attempt to stop the ball, it went into the top corner, unleashing the celebration of the Spanish fans who attended the stadium.
