Frisco— Jesús Ferreira contributed the only goal of the match and goalkeeper Maarten Paes made the saves to ensure that it was enough for Dallas to defeat Philadelphia Union 1-0 on Wednesday.
The forward's goal came in the 34th minute. Paul Arriola provided a cross from the right side for Ferreira to control with his left foot and finish with a right-footed shot that beat goalkeeper Andre Blake.
Ferreira, who along with Arriola participated in the MLS All-Star Game against a Liga MX team, scored his 15th goal of the season and ranks second in this category.
The forward had scored two goals on Saturday in a 4-1 victory over the San Jose Earthquakes.

Then, Dutchman Paes made at least three good saves for the home team, who reached 42 points to rank third in the Western Conference.
Union stayed with 48 points, still leading the East. They will face DC United on Sunday.
Dallas will visit Nashville on Sunday.
