With rumors that Percy Liza could arrive at Anderlecht in Belgium, former footballer Andrés Mendoza referred to the conditions that the Sporting Cristal forward has, stating that it is the right time for him to emigrate because he has a good physique to be able to compete abroad.

"I think it's the right time for Liza to go to Belgium, he's already 21 years old and he can learn a lot there. I left at 19 and it's a very competitive football. Besides, he has height and speed, in terms of physique I think he's similar to me," he said on RPP.
"When I arrived in Bruges it was a bit difficult for me. It helps a lot in football, in developing quickly. Their training is different and that helped me reach a good level," added the former Sporting Cristal player.
Similarly, the 'Condor' hopes that the Celeste player can stay in Europe for 20 years, as he does not want him to return soon, as many players who go abroad do. "Let's hope that Percy Liza can go to Belgium and stay there, that he returns in 20 years. Not like some who leave and come back the following year," he said.
Furthermore, Andrés Mendoza also explained that Belgian football is not as complicated as the leagues in Germany or Spain, so Percy Liza's adaptation would not be so difficult for him.
