University eSports will debut a Valorant team in the Claro Gaming Spike Cup.

Universitario eSports is a division of the popular Peruvian club Universitario de Deportes. They are entering the world of shooters with Valorant, a famous title from the company Riot Games, and will be participating in the tournament Claro gaming Spike Cup which has a total prize pool of 14,000 soles.

The cream team will be playing in the Opening phase, which has a prize pool of S/4,000.00 and starts this Tuesday, April 4 at 06:00 p.m. on the screens of Subetealcar and Claro gaming Peru where they will be facing the teams ZEN e-Sports, KeyFrame Gaming, and F/A Mapaches in Best of 3 matches in a GSL format. The matches will be narrated by iCONiC and Luna Delilah.

In the GSL format, they will be playing in double elimination brackets, aiming to position themselves better for the playoffs. In the final phase of the playoffs, the first-place team will face the 3rd or 4th place team, while the second-place team will face the remaining one. These matches are in a single elimination bracket in Best of 3 format, with the exception of the grand final which will be played in Best of 5 matches.

Universitario eSports will be playing on April 5th starting at 06:00 p.m. against the team F/A Mapaches, making their official debut with a Chilean squad accompanied by a Peruvian coach who promise to give their best for the cream fans.

The Claro gaming Spike Cup is produced by the Claro gaming Center for High Performance, supported by the Peruvian Esports Association and sponsored by Adidas, Monster, and Claro gaming.
