The producer of the video game Gran Turismo (GT), Kazunori Yamauchi, has confirmed that Polyphony Digital is "investigating and considering" preparing the game for PC, following the footsteps of other great PlayStation video games that have also become playable on computers.
Yamauchi expressed this after being asked if the Gran Turismo series could also make the leap and stop being exclusive to PlayStation, in statements to GTPlanet, coinciding with his participation in the Gran Turismo World Finals and the 25th anniversary event of the video game.

However, the creator of this GT series has indicated that the game is a "very well refined" title and that, therefore, "there are not many platforms that can run it natively in 4K/60p." In this sense, he has insisted that it is a "complicated" issue, but at the same time has assured that they are trying to move it forward.
Despite everything, the game's producer has said that they are "investigating and considering" its jump to PC. And in case GT ends up being developed for the computer, it would join some of Sony's franchises that have made the same journey, such as God of War, from Santa Monica Studio; Beyond: Two Souls, from Quantic Dream; or Uncharted 4, from Naughty Dog. In this way, Sony continues to expand its strategy of bringing some PlayStation titles to the computer.

The popular driving video game developed by Polyphony Digital, whose latest installment, Gran Turismo 7, was released in March for PS5, was also launched for PlayStation 4, in which there are some differences in resolution and quality of textures and details, such as the lack of ray tracing technology.
