Nintendo will start developing new mobile games in 2023 under their new studio 'Nintendo Systems', in which they will work with DeNa, an expert company in the mobile gaming and applications sector.
According to Nintendo's official statement, their new studio aims to "enhance Nintendo's digital business" and, for this reason, both companies will research, develop, and create together "value-added services to strengthen the relationship between Nintendo and consumers."

Thus, Nintendo Systems will become a specific subsidiary of the company on April 3 of next year with a capital amount exceeding 10% of Nintendo's (5 trillion yen), and it will be headquartered in Tokyo with Tetsuya Sasaki as President.
On the other hand, DeNa has been working with Nintendo since 2015 when they signed a commercial and capital alliance. Since then, the company has collaborated with Nintendo for various tasks and has developed multiple services.
“Based on the experience gained over the past seven years, Nintendo and DeNa will further advance their partnership and establish a joint venture,” explained the leading video game company. This joint venture will focus on the development of game applications for smart devices.

There have already been some notable games for phones from the Japanese company, such as Fire Emblem Heroes, Animal Crossing, Miitomo, or the mobile version of the famous Mario Kart, Mario Kart Tour.
