Which Peruvian team has gone the furthest in The International?

The Dota 2 team made up of Peruvian players that has gone the furthest in an edition of The International is Infamous Gaming, which achieved a historic top 8 in the world of the popular PC video game and continues to be relevant to this day but without the same participants.

The success of the national team in 2019 has a particular story, as our compatriots known by their nicknames 'Stinger,' 'Jericho,' 'K1,' 'Chris Brown,' and the Bolivian 'Wisper' did not qualify for this competition, but were welcomed by Infamous "at the last minute."

It turns out that, after obtaining good results in the StarLadder Imba TV in Ukraine, the Peruvians had made a good impression on the MOBA circuit. Therefore, Infamous Gaming, having run out of members for this event due to the retirement of its pro-players, trusted in the talent of the Latin American team and signed them to play in TI.

What happened to Infamous after TI 2019?

As mentioned earlier, the Peruvian players remained with Team Anvorguesa. After achieving the feat, it was decided to extend the agreement they had with Infamous Gaming. However, this did not materialize and they ended up leaving the international gamer organization, but not as a group.

"Today we want to announce that Hector, Chris Luck, Wisper, Scofield & Stinger will remain together as a team, but will not play under the name Infamous Gaming. Likewise, we wish each of them the best of luck in their new projects," Infamous Gaming posted on their social media.
