Call of Duty Warzone 2.0 will arrive on November 16th to PlayStation and Xbox consoles, as well as PC, and will include a new map and cross-platform progression.
Activision has taken advantage of the Call of Duty: Next event to offer new details about the future of its first-person shooter (FPS) war franchise.
The US developer and distributor has thus offered the first glimpse of Warzone 2.0, the new version of its battle royale that will arrive on November 16th to PlayStation and Xbox consoles, as well as PC, while maintaining its free-to-play nature.

Activision has described it as its "most ambitious" release in the franchise's history. One of its main novelties is the map, which is set in a fictional desert called Al Mazrah.
Among its new features are enemies operated by Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the appearance of multiple circles that will force players to separate and move in different directions.
Activision has developed this new game using the same graphics engine as Modern Warfare II, Infinity Ward (IW). In addition, the mobile version of Warzone 2.0 will arrive sometime in 2023 and will include platform-specific events, as well as playlists and other additional content.

The company has confirmed the connection between the mobile version and the desktop version, and has ensured that players will be able to share various social functions and their progress across all platforms, as well as the battle pass, which they will all share.
MODERN WARFARE 2 MULTIPLAYER RENEWED
Call of Duty: Next has also served to reveal new details about the online multiplayer mode of Modern Warfare II, which is scheduled for release on October 28th for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC consoles.

Among its new features, a new 3v3 mode called raids stands out, which according to Activision, will emphasize "team communication and coordination like never before." Another novelty also includes the ability to switch from first-person to third-person perspective.
The open beta of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II will be available from September 16th on PlayStation and, from the 22nd, on Xbox and PC consoles.
