The head and founder of 343 Industries, Bonnie Ross, leaves the company after 15 years of leading it. The developer was the main leader of the Halo saga and belonged to Microsoft for almost 30 years. Ross claims that the reason is related to her family's health issues.

A Halo legend retires from 343 Industries. Bonnie Ross founded the game development studio in 2007 and has been leading it since then. In a statement released on Twitter, Ross bids farewell to Halo fans and added that she would have liked to be present when the winter update for Halo Infinite is released. However, she is retiring early to "address a family medical issue."

"I am very proud of the work that 343 Industries has put into Halo Infinite, The Master Chief Collection, the Halo TV series, and more. It has been an honor to serve alongside the team for the past 15 years and be part of a universe that I love," she continued in her statement. Ross thanked the fans of the saga and assured that she will be attentive to the Halo World Championship in October.

Bonnie Ross was part of Microsoft for 28 years, 15 of them while being at 343 Industries. Ross participated in multiple Halo games such as Halo 4, Halo 5: Guardians, Halo: The Master Chief Collection, and Halo Infinite.

Microsoft informed Windows Central that the new studio leader would be producer Pierre Hintze, while Bryan Koski will be the franchise's general manager.
