Bad news for competitive Dota 2 fans. The Peruvian team Thunder Awaken has been eliminated from the PGL Arlington Major Dota 2 tournament, which brings together the top 17 teams in the world, after losing 2-0 to the Chinese team PSG.LGD.
In the last day of the group stage, Thunder Awaken faced PSG.LGD, the powerful Chinese team and one of the top favorites to win the title. Unfortunately, led by Peruvian player 'Matthew', they couldn't defeat the Asians and finished second to last in Group A, with no wins, five draws, and three losses.

The first game lasted 27 minutes and ended with a score of 24-15 in favor of PSG.LGD. Despite a good start for the Peruvians, the team led by the Chinese player 'Ame' managed to overcome them thanks to tower destruction and hero farming.
In the second round, Thunder once again tried to bring down the Asian giant, but PSG.LGD sealed the victory after 33 minutes with a final score of 28-29.

In this way, the Peruvian team finishes in the bottom ranks of the Dota 2 Arlington Major tournament and without taking part of the $500,000 prize pool.

It is worth noting that Thunder Awaken, in the same way, has already qualified for The International 11 of Dota 2, also known as the World Championship of the video game. This event will take place in October.
