Dota 2 World Championship: Peruvian team Beastcoast qualified for the highest competition of the video game [VIDEO].

Thanks to their performance in the Arlington Major, Beastcoast obtained the necessary DPC points to qualify for The International and join Thunder Awaken as Peruvian representatives in the Dota 2 World Championship.

The Dota 2 World Championship, The International, is getting closer and Peru is once again present in the most important competition of the video game. Previously, the Peruvian team Thunder Awaken managed to qualify for the event. Now, the compatriot squad Beastcoast has also secured a spot after obtaining the necessary DPC points in the Arlington Major.

The International will start on October 15th and gradually the teams that qualify for the tournament are being defined. In the competition, considered the eSports World Championship, 20 squads from around the world will participate. One way to qualify is by accumulating DPC points (Dota Pro Circuit), which is how Beastcoast has just secured their place in this year's edition. Currently, Beastcoast is participating in the playoffs of the Arlington Major, where US$500,000 will be distributed.

Who is part of Beastcoast

The organization Beastcoast has four Peruvians and one Bolivian in its ranks:

  • Steven ‘Stinger’ Vargas
  • Adrián ‘Wisper’ Céspedes (Bolivia)
  • Christian ‘Accel’ Cruz (coach)
  • Thomas Jaulis “Valqui” Romero (coach)

It is worth mentioning that Thunder Awaken was the first Peruvian team to qualify for The International 2022. In addition, another team that will also participate in the competition, TSM, has the Peruvian 'Timado' as a member.
