Thunder Awaken is one of the Peruvian teams representing the South America (SA) region in the current Dota 2 Stockholm Major. After going through a tense weekend in competition, by sending the current world champion, Team Spirit, to the Lower Bracket, the national team now faced BetBoom Team, another revelation of the moment.
The match allowed the Thunder Awaken team to continue in the Upper Bracket and they are now in the semifinals. It has not been an easy task, because BetBoom Team was able to keep the series in suspense with their team strategies, getting the score to close in a tight 2-1 in favor of the Peruvians.
The first game was in favor of Thunder Awaken. The pro players showed the good competitive level they are going through in Valve's popular MOBA. The most outstanding heroes of the match were Templar Assassin and Snapfire.

On the other hand, the second game complicated the scenario. BetBoom Team managed to turn the game around with a correct choice of characters. Thunder Awaken tried to vary their draft (team composition), but it was of little use, as the European team tied the game after mistakes in the last minutes.
Finally, in the third game, Thunder played for their stay in the Upper Bracket. For this reason, they decided to resort to the heroes that worked for them previously. On that occasion, none of the players were left behind and they were able to successfully advance to the enemy structures to destroy them.
Thunder Awaken will face Tundra Esports on May 18. On the other hand, the Peruvian player Enzo 'Timado' Giaonolli, who is part of Team SoloMid (TSM), was also able to prevail against the two-time world champion, OG, to advance in the brackets.
