What became of Mason, the former EG player who was on Infamous for two weeks? [VIDEO]

The North American pro player had a brief stint with the Peruvian team in 2019.

Although Mason only had a short stint in our country, no one can deny the trajectory that the North American pro player had in the competitive scene of Dota 2, where he played alongside players of the caliber of ppd and Arteezy.

In fact, one of his greatest achievements was reaching third place in The International 4 with Evil Geniuses, the team he belonged to throughout 2014. Additionally, the player also managed to achieve second place in the Frankfurt Major with the North American team, where they were eliminated after losing in the Grand Final against Invictus Gaming, who had won TI2 with an almost identical roster.

On the other hand, in TI4 Evil Geniuses was considered one of the favorites to win the Aegis, but unfortunately they ended up losing to Newbee and Vici Gaming consecutively.

Years later, the player would become part of Digital Chaos, an ambitious squad that had surprised the world in 2016 by becoming the runners-up of The International 6. Mason would be part of the new roster of DC, which also included players like Abed, Forev, DuBu, and BuLBa.

Unfortunately, the team failed to perform well in the tournament, as they were eliminated from the Play-Offs after losing to LGD Gaming. Mason would stay with the team for the rest of the year and then take a break from the competitive scene until 2019.

When Mason joined Infamous, the team was going through a period of changes under the leadership of Egorco. Despite Mason's attempts during the Stockholm Major (his only tournament with Infamous), the team had a poor performance, losing to PSG.LGD and Fnatic in the group stage. The team would eventually eliminate EHOME in the Play-Offs before bidding farewell with a defeat against Team Secret.

Just two weeks later, Infamous announced the departure of Mason and Wu, a decision that was widely criticized by fans of the team.

What is Mason up to these days?

The pro player is still active on Twitter, where he regularly interacts with players like Arteezy and SumaiL. Additionally, Mason recently resumed streaming Dota 2 on Twitch after being banned in April 2021 for using homophobic language.
