Around a thousand Real Madrid fans attended Santiago Bernabeu to witness Iker Casillas' farewell ceremony, organized by the club. From 11 in the morning, they loudly requested the opening of the stadium doors to bid farewell to their idol and also shouted "Florentino, resign!". The venue was opened to the public at 12:30. Afterwards, when the goalkeeper appeared in the box, shouts asking for the president's departure thundered, minutes before he defended that the goalkeeper was leaving the club of his own free will. Shouts of "Sergio Ramos is not for sale" were also heard.

The player went down to the field and took pictures with all the trophies. There he was acclaimed by the white fans.

After Casillas' solo goodbye in the press room of the stadium on Sunday, Real Madrid issued a statement this Monday announcing an event with the goalkeeper in the VIP box of the Bernabeu, starting at 1:00 p.m.
