Boxer Juan Hernandez Receives Flyweight Championship Belt
In a ceremony, boxer Juan Hernandez received the belt that accredits him as the flyweight champion of the World Boxing Council.
'El Churritos' managed to conquer the title on his second attempt, after falling six years ago in Japan and traveling to Thailand to defeat the undefeated local fighter Nawaphon Kaikanhapor.
"This is a great opportunity to change my story, and it wouldn't have been possible without the unconditional support I received. It's a great commitment that I will respond to with body and soul," said 'El Churritos', who was crowned at 30 years old.
After a period of rest, Hernandez will return to the gym to begin preparations for his match against the top two contenders, a commitment he acquired by winning a vacant title.
