The Real Madrid expedition left Madrid Barajas airport this morning at 1000 (CET). They are expected to land in Melbourne at 1900 (local time / 1100 CET). This is the first time that Madrid will play in Oceania and tickets are completely sold out for their games at the Melbourne Cricket Ground against Roma (18 July) and Manchester City (24 July).
The traveling squad that left Madrid this morning is made up of: Varane, Pepe, Sergio Ramos, Nacho, Kroos, Benzema, Gareth Bale, Marcelo, Keylor Navas, Carvajal, Lucas Silva, Arbeloa, Lucas Vazquez, Modric, Jesé, Dennis Cheryshev, Isco, Danilo, Illarramendi, Pacheco, Lazo, Marcos Llorente, Yañez and Odegaard.
Cristiano Ronaldo, is already in Australia and the squad will completed by James and Casemiro who will join up on July 23rd. The only player who will miss the tour is Coentrao, who is forced to stay in Madrid and work on recovering from an injury that will see him sidelined for a month.
After the games on Australian soil the squad will fly to China, where they face Inter (Monday, July 27 14:00 CET) and then their city rivals, AC Milan on the following Thursday at 1400 CET.
After their participation in the Champions Cup matches, Madrid return to Europe where they play in the Audi Cup in Munich. Their first opponent will be Tottenham (Tuesday, August 4th at 18:15 CET) in the semi final and then participate in either the final or the 3rd/4th place game against either Bayern Munich or AC Milan on Wednesday, August 5th.
