The official portal of the Pan American Games has provided details of the opening ceremony of Toronto 2015.
The event
The event, which starts this Friday at 7:00 pm (Colombian time) and will last two and a half hours, will be led by Cirque du Soleil, the famous entertainment company based in Montreal.
About the show
"With an international cast of 625 artists representing 25 nationalities, the show will present a special blend of theatrical art, exciting acrobatics, and colorful cultural splendor, as well as dance and extreme sports.
Celebrating Canada
Furthermore, spectators can expect impressive fireworks from the CN Tower Plaza. The production will celebrate Canada's significant contributions, from the First Nations peoples to its growth as a nation rich in diversity and contemporary culture," the website states.

Opening ceremony details
The opening ceremony, which will last two and a half hours, will take place at the indoor Rogers Center, home of the Toronto Blue Jays baseball team, with a seating capacity of 45,000 spectators.
Torch lighting details
The organizers have not revealed details about the lighting of the cauldron.
