As expected, Yamaha was not happy that one of their two riders, Lorenzo, was booed by a section of the fans, with the boos primarily coming from fans dressed in the colors of their other rider, Rossi. Lin Jarvis, the head of the racing team from the tuning fork brand, is firm in expressing his disapproval of what happened in Montmelo after the race: "I think the behavior of the fans was unfair and Vale has already said that he thinks the same. All the riders deserve credit for their incredible sporting performances, which should be recognized and applauded by the spectators."
The Englishman already experienced the war that took place in the previous stage between Rossi and Lorenzo as teammates, from 2008 to 2010, and now enjoys more than anyone else the idyllic relationship maintained by his guys since they reunited in 2013. That's why he won't allow anyone from the outside to tarnish the wonderful atmosphere that prevails in the Movistar Yamaha box, even though there is only one point difference between them in the fight for the title. "The actions of people outside the box have nothing to do with what happens inside our box and our team. The key word to be valued is respect," Jarvis assures this newspaper, convinced that only a collision between the two on the track could make them relapse.
In the meantime, they will continue to enjoy their successes, in the form of a double victory, if possible, like in Montmelo and Le Mans, while also enjoying Honda's crisis, with Marquez at 69 and 68 points adrift from their two official riders and struggling with a too aggressive RC213V.
