Iker Casillas
Iker Casillas has renounced to 35% of his salary that corresponded to him for the two remaining years of his contract with Real Madrid in order to go to Porto. The exit operation is closed pending Real Madrid's OK.
Casillas had signed 24 million euros gross for the next two seasons, and to leave the club and sign with Porto he has forgiven 8.5 million. Porto has committed to paying ten million euros gross in two seasons to the goalkeeper, who will also sign a third optional season. To definitively announce the transfer, only the written commitment from Real Madrid to pay the remaining 5.5 million euros is missing.
This way, Casillas unblocks the situation, which will prevent him from having to show up on Thursday with the team, called by Rafa Benítez at 17:00 hours, and he can join the training camp that Porto will carry out in the next few days in Holland.
When the agreement is signed, Real Madrid plans to hold a big farewell event at Santiago Bernabéu Stadium after 16 seasons in the first team and 25 at the club.
