Although the World Championship is being played with Lorenzo, who is ten points ahead, The Doctor does not lose sight of Marc: "He will be with us in the upcoming races."

If a few weeks ago it was Jorge Lorenzo the MotoGP rider who was living in a constant state of happiness, as a result of his streak of four consecutive victories, leading the races from start to finish, now it's Valentino Rossi's ideal moment, winner two weeks ago in Assen and leader of the category with a ten-point advantage over his teammate at Movistar Yamaha.

I'm very happy, says The Doctor in his team's statement prior to the German Grand Prix this weekend, but there are more things, mainly that he implies that Marc Márquez, although not his rival for the title, will be judge and jury in the fight he maintains with Lorenzo.

“We understand that our rivals are working hard to be at the front again, and in Assen it was a success to hold on to the lead. Márquez will probably be with us in the next races and we have to be very careful with him,” he assures in relation to the reigning champion, whose relationship with him has soured a lot in recent times, following the controversial finishes in Argentina and Holland, in which he emerged as the winner. But he also does not forget about Lorenzo, the most dangerous rival when it comes to celebrating his long-awaited tenth World Championship: “In Sachsenring, my main goal will be to work as we did in Holland, from the first free practices. I am sure Jorge will be strong again, so it is even more important to work well this weekend.”

Reading his statements, one can sense his fantastic state of mind: "I am ready for Sachsenring and I am going into this weekend's race with a very positive mindset. I managed to recover some of the advantage I had lost in the previous races. Having a ten-point lead after eight races is not bad. I am very happy. Now we go to Germany and it will be very important to reaffirm how competitive we are." However, he is also very aware that there will be a three-week break after the German round: "After Sachsenring, there will be a break and it will be important to rest a little before facing the second part of the season." Rest? Knowing him, he will surely intersperse some parties among so much rest, because not many can beat him in having a good time...
