Real Madrid: Karembeu can't imagine a Real Madrid without Casillas or Ramos.
The former Real Madrid player Cristian Karembeu considers that the white team, which will be coached by Rafael Benítez next season, is a contender for winning titles, although he cannot imagine the squad without Iker Casillas or Sergio Ramos, as they are key players and bring character.
Karembeu made these statements at the inauguration of the first edition of Tenerife International Camps, in which former footballers Johan Cruyff, Patrick Kluivert, and Luis García will also participate. The ex-Madrid player confessed to having followed La Liga this year and admitted that "Barça deserved to win" and "they demonstrated it on the field."
He expressed his desire for Spain to participate in the 2016 Eurocup, which will be held in France, as he considers the Spanish national team to be a "great attraction" with a "high level of competitiveness". Although he is no longer a football player, he remains involved with the sport as a strategy advisor for FC Olympiacos, which he admits is "trying to build a team to play in the Champions League soon" despite the difficult situation in Greece.
About the camp, Karembeu said that it is a "great opportunity for children to learn football values such as teamwork". Karembeu recalled his last visit to Tenerife when he competed against CD Tenerife at the Heliodoro Rodríguez López stadium and managed to score four goals.
