The possible signing of David de Gea by Real Madrid has not left anyone indifferent. One of his former teammates from Atlético Madrid is clear about what will happen when De Gea wears the white jersey: "They will never forgive him".
The former Czech player, Tomas Ujfalusi, assures in an interview with the Daily Mail that he is "very surprised by David's decision".
"They will never forgive him for signing with Real Madrid, that's for sure. I'm sure it's not an easy decision to make, but Atlético fans will never forgive him. Also, to me it's a surprise because he is an Atlético fan. When he was younger, his heart was red and white".
The defender, who retired in 2013, explains: "De Gea is better than Cech and Courtois. I trained with him for more than two years and he played really well. His early years at Manchester United were not easy, but I think he has returned to his level now and is playing very well".
De Gea joined Atlético's first team in 2009, where he stayed until 2011. Two of the three years that Ujfalusi spent at the Vicente Calderón, as the Czech wore the red and white jersey from 2008 to 2011.
