Alberto Del Río's Future in WWE Uncertain
When fans thought that Alberto Del Río was going to have a strong push in WWE, after the separation of Raw and Smackdown, they could have been wrong. Apparently, the Mexican wrestler's days in the company are numbered.
The reason? It turns out that Alberto Del Río signed a contract with WWE until October and, apparently, he is not in the plans to have the 'Patrón' on board. This was confirmed by journalist Richard Gray from the Wrestling News World website.
Furthermore, sources close to the journalist have confirmed that Triple H would be the main promoter for Alberto Del Río's departure from WWE. That is why the Mexican has stopped appearing frequently in the ring.
"We have to keep Alberto Del Río cold (without advertising) because his contract expires in October." Those would have been Triple H's words referring to the continuity of the 'Patrón' in WWE. Since winning the United States title, the wrestler has not had an important participation.
For now, the WWE wrestler has not approached officials to define his future, so both Triple H and other company executives question if Alberto Del Río is truly committed to his work in the ring.
