UFC 299 has an incredible lineup.
Unfortunately, the event also has incredible ticket prices. Nosebleeds start at $250 and that doesn’t include all the garbage fees they hit you with during checkout. Factor in parking, concessions, and merchandise and you could be looking at beaucoup bucks for a night of “Sunshine State” fights.
Cash-strapped MMA fans are not taking it well.
—I feel bad for newer fans that want to attend their first events. This is horrific.
—“To all the UFC fans who have stuck with us for 30 years, FU. Sincerely UFC” This is the sad truth of it.
—If you check now, they’ve increased substantially and those lower prices don’t even exist. It’s sad that a lot of hardcores I know here in Miami that would love to go won’t be able to. Sad.
—This is criminal.
—No wonder Dana always boasting about record gate $$, these prices are insane.
—I was planning on going but not paying those prices for shitty seats.
—Sports have out-paced the people they were supposed to entertain.
UFC 299, which takes place on March 9 at Kaseya Center in Miami, will be headlined by the bantamweight title fight featuring Sean O’Malley in his first 135-pound title defense (and UFC 252 rematch) against longtime rival Marlon Vera.
The UFC 299 co-main event pits former interim lightweight champion Dustin Poirier opposite fast-rising contender Benoit Saint-Denis. Elsewhere on the card, welterweight bruisers Gilbert Burns and Jack Della Maddalena hook ‘em up at 170 pounds.
