Finally, Dwyane Wade and the Miami Heat will not separate their paths... at least for the next season. The shooting guard (33 years old) will continue in Florida, where he has developed his NBA career since 2003, with a contract of only one season and for which he will earn around 20 million dollars, slightly below Chris Bosh's annual salary of 22 million, who will remain the highest paid player on the team.

Wade was looking for a contract for more seasons but Miami has managed to reach an agreement with a short-term deal. This will allow Wade to negotiate again next summer, with the money from the television contracts on the table but also at 34 years old and with his knee issues in the background. These issues did not prevent him from averaging 21 points and almost 5 assists per game (he played 62 games) in the past season.
