Tennessee Titans kicker Nick Folk set a new NFL record when he made a field goal against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 9 on Thursday night.
After the Titans' first offensive series stalled, Folk came on for a 36-yard field goal, which he made to cut the Steelers' lead to 7-3.
With the successful attempt, Folk broke the NFL record for the most consecutive field goals made under 40 yards that was previously held by Baltimore Ravens kicker, Justin Tucker. Folk tacked on another field goal later in the game to bring the record up to 72.
The Titans have struck gold with Folk, who they traded for prior to the 2023 campaign. The 38-year-old has now made all 17 of his attempts this season, including three from 50-plus.
Folk's FG is good and he now holds the NFL record for most consecutive field goals under 40 yards (71).

Tennessee has had its fair share of issues at kicker over the last handful of years. Even when the Titans had a bit of stability with Randy Bullock the past few years, he struggled with longer kicks.
Folk has checked every box through eight games.
