French forward Nicolas Anelka to be the next season coach of Mumbai City

The French forward Nicolas Anelka, who already played last season at Mumbai City in the Indian Super League, will also be the team's coach next season, as announced by the club on Friday, after his renewal as a player was announced earlier this month.

In his first season, Anelka, at the age of 36, scored two goals in seven matches. He will now face the challenge of leading the team while trying to continue scoring goals in a career that has taken him through more than a dozen teams, as well as earning 70 caps with the national team and scoring 14 goals.

Paris Saint-Germain, Arsenal, Real Madrid, Liverpool, Manchester City, Fenerbahçe, Bolton Wanderers, Chelsea, Shanghai Shenhua, Juventus, and West Bromwich have been the clubs in the forward's career before joining Mumbai City, totaling 200 goals in 614 matches at club level.
