The official weigh-in took place on Friday afternoon at the Toshiba Plaza adjacent to the T-Mobile Arena.

This will be the Mexican's second fight in 2023. Previously, he fought in Guadalajara, Jalisco, against Englishman John Ryder, whom he defeated unanimously.

In the face of Charlo, the 33-year-old boxer who has been the face of the sport for the past five years will try to dispel all the doubts raised by his last three performances. The aforementioned fight against Ryder, the fight that marked the end of the trilogy against Gennadiy Golovkin that he won without shining, and the loss against Dmitry Bivol.

Meanwhile, Charlo is moving up two weight divisions to try to become an undisputed champion in a second weight category, something that only he can aspire to because the belts at stake belong to Canelo.

The 33-year-old American is returning to the ring after being inactive for more than 16 months. His last fight was the rematch against Brian Castaño, a challenge he won by knockout.

In the rest of the fights on the main card, all the participants made weight.

Jesús Ramos Jr. weighed in at 153.4, and his opponent in the co-main event, Erickson Lubin, also weighed 153.4. Former welterweight world champion Yordenis Ugás weighed 147 pounds, while his opponent, fellow former world champion Mario Barrios, weighed 146.8.

Finally, middleweight prospect Elijah García tipped the scales at 159.6 pounds, exactly the same weight as his opponent, Armando Resendiz.
