Demetrius Andrade defeated Willie Nelson

It is certain that at times, Nelson made it difficult for Andrade because of his height, as he suddenly showed sparks of attitude.

Unbeaten Demetrius Andrade knocked out Willie Nelson in the 12th round of an eliminator fight for the superwelter title of the World Boxing Council, in one of the main fights of a card held at the Hotel and Casino Turning Stone in Verona, New York, United States.

Andrade knocked down Nelson four times to achieve victory and become the mandatory challenger for the winner between world champion Jermell Charlo and challenger Charles Hatley.

In the final moments of the eleventh round, Andrade knocked Nelson down for the second time with a hook, repeating the same in the twelfth round when he sent him to the canvas twice more to end the fight at 1:38 minutes of that round. With this victory, Andrade improved his record to 23-0, with 16 knockouts, while Nelson fell to 25-3-1, with 15 knockouts.
