After Cody Rhodes left WWE, there was something that caused intrigue, and this had to do with his ring name.
His real name is Cody Garrett Runnels, and he began his professional career in Ohio Valley Wrestling (then WWE's developmental territory) as Cody Runnels. In that stage, he achieved the Triple Crown of OVW, as he won both the Tag Team Championship, the TV Championship, and the Heavyweight Championship.
On July 2, 2007, Runnels made his debut on Monday Night Raw, using the name Cody Rhodes, obviously in honor of his legendary father, Dusty Rhodes (Virgil Runnels). However, it was expected that WWE would register the trademark "Cody Rhodes" for promotional and merchandise purposes.
So, when Runnels left WWE, it was unclear what would happen to his ring name, which had finally been used by his father and brother for decades.
However, on Twitter, using the name Cody Rhodes, he announced his return to action in the ring, along with a list of things to do:

He wants to face Adam Cole, Dalton Castle, Kurt Angle, Chris Hero, "The Miracle" Mike Bennett, Moose, Pat Buck, the Young Bucks, Trevor Lee, Katsuyori Shibata, and Roderick Strong; he also wants to participate in the PWG's BOLA tournament and have a personal announcer, who would obviously be his wife, Eden.
He also mentions "that thing with the streamers," which according to Dave Meltzer could mean ROH or some Japanese company.
Cody Rhodes will be back in the wrestling world after August 19.
