WHAT A DEBUT FOR ABRAHAM TORO.
Toro along with Jesse Winker were traded to the Brewers on December 2, 2022, and while Winker has been with the Brewers, Toro started the season in Triple-A Nashville. Toro in 43 games for Triple-A, slashed a .258 AVG, .344 OBP, and a .352 slugging percentage.
Toro with his second inning home run on Wednesday against the Toronto Blue Jays, became the first Brewer to homer in his team debut since Eric Sogard did it against the New York Mets in 2017.
Toro is also from Canada; so accomplishing this feat in your home country is something special.
It’s been two special nights for the Brewers; Andruw Monasterio collected his first major league hit in Tuesday’s game, and now Toro homer in his first start as a Brewers it’s been a fun couple of days in Milwaukee.

Obligatory Eric Sogard home run
The last #Brewers player to hit a homer in their first official AB with team: Eric Sogard off Matt Harvey in 2017. #ThisIsMyCrew pic.twitter.com/NsckzVnDai
