The legendary boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. has recently spoken again with ESNEWS, after doing so a few days ago about his possible fight against Conor McGregor. Now, Money claims he will travel to Albuquerque, New Mexico, to meet with Jon Jones.
Perhaps the most important moment of this brief interview, at least in terms of Mixed Martial Arts, comes at two and a half minutes, when the former Champion claims he will travel to Albuquerque to meet the current Interim Light Heavyweight Champion of UFC and talk business. Money wants fighters to grow, both inside and outside the ring. He says they will talk about Bones' future.
At the moment, it is not clear how both stars could do business together, but the former boxer confirms that he has recently signed other fighters. Unofficial sources indicate that he may be looking to compete with UFC, the current leading company in MMA.
Regarding Jon Jones, his future lies in a war for the unification of the Light Heavyweight Championship at UFC 200, where he will face one of his main rivals, Daniel Cormier. Bones won the Interim Championship by defeating Ovince St. Preux by Unanimous Decision at UFC 197.
