June 3 and 5, at the Centre Expositor of Puebla and the Palace of Sports in Mexico City, respectively, will take place Lucha Libre Victoria World Cup, the long-awaited World Cup of Lucha Libre. In this event, the Mexican representatives have a tough commitment, that of facing the best wrestlers in the world; in this context, the King of Kings 2016, Pentagón Jr., who managed to obtain his pass to represent Mexico and AAA in this international event, spoke about the upcoming commitment for him:
"It is a very important opportunity to participate in an event that I have been waiting for a long time because I know it is a very big event for Lucha Libre and for me as a wrestler. It is an opportunity that many people would like to have and that today I have in my hands. I am preparing thoroughly, studying my opponents to give a good performance and great matches trying to win the championship. I have two of the best wrestlers of today as my partners, and I know that the three of us together can be a great trio and win the World Cup so that it stays in Mexico again. I want people to be convinced that the best lucha libre is Mexican."
He also spoke about his personal context facing this commitment:
"My family is very happy, seeing now the fruits of what we have been planting together for a long time. Family is important because it has a lot to do with your growth. Many times we sacrifice not being together to follow this dream called lucha libre. My family is part of this triumph and I want them to be in the front row supporting me, seeing how we are consecrated in Lucha Libre Victoria World Cup."
"I don't like to say that I thought about it, but that I dreamed about it. When I was a child, I always dreamed of fighting in events of this magnitude. When you dream of something and fight for it with dedication and discipline, it happens. Today we are already here, I believe Pentagón Jr. is a reality, but I'm not going to fall into a state of comfort. I still have many things to conquer and I'm going to work hard to achieve more successes inside and outside of Mexico," he concluded.
