The current UFC Flyweight Champion, Demetrious Johnson, has recently confirmed on The MMA Hour Podcast that he has signed a new eight-fight contract with UFC. A contract similar to the one he currently has and that has not yet ended.
He still has two fights left on his current contract, but it seems that the fighter wants to stay with the company for a long time regardless of the lucrative contracts that other companies such as Bellator could offer him, who has been negotiating with other fighters after signing former UFC Lightweight Champion Benson Henderson.
As for his future, after quickly defeating Henry Cejudo on April 23 at UFC 197, Demetrious 'Mighty Mouse' Johnson will continue to defend his Championship. At the moment, it is planned that he will face the winner of season 24 of The Ultimate Fighter on December 3, whose coaches will be Henry Cejudo himself and fellow Flyweight Joseph Benavidez, and which can be watched exclusively on UFC NETWORK.
The Champion will enter this fight with ten consecutive victories and looking like an invincible fighter after defeating names such as John Dodson, Joshep Benavidez, Kyoji Horiguchi, Ian McCall or John Moraga relatively easily.
