The Spanish player Gerard Deulofeu, the Everton's new signing, has stated after returning to the "toffee" team that "from the beginning, I wanted to come back", as he believes that the club is where he is "truly" happy, highlighting that his loan two seasons ago was "a great year" for him and showing his determination to "work really hard" under Roberto Martinez's orders.

In that sense, he thanked the "support" received from the fans, adding that, unlike Barcelona or Sevilla fans, "they live for football" and "send messages all the time on social media", so he just wants to "work really hard to give them what they deserve" on the field.

"I had a great year the last time I was here. I really enjoyed the time I spent here.

I felt loved by all the fans and I was surrounded by really good teammates. I feel happy to have come back", Deulofeu concluded, who played 17 matches for Sevilla last season, starting in ten of them. He was substituted in nine of those matches.
