The League of Nations Ends Its Run in WWE
The League of Nations, the group of international superstars in WWE, has come to an end after several weeks of speculation. The separation of the group will take place this Thursday, April 28, on SmackDown.
In the tapings of this Tuesday's blue show, the group suffered a final defeat when Rusev and Alberto Del Rio abandoned Sheamus in the ring while facing the team of Cesaro, Kalisto, and Sami Zayn. Apparently, after this, there was a backstage discussion that definitively ended the international alliance.

This evening in SmackDown @BostonJohnnie tells me that the League of Nations is officially finished and over.
This marks the end of the group, which had started a few weeks ago with the expulsion of King Barrett, who was considered the weakest link and the one to blame for their defeats at that time. However, at first, this alliance did not seem doomed to failure but to triumph.
Their leader, Sheamus, was the first Irish WWE champion. He is also a four-time world champion, Mr. Money in the Bank, and winner of the Royal Rumble, achievements he shares with his partner, the Mexican Alberto Del Rio. Like the European and the Latino, the Bulgarian Rusev held the United States Championship and was one of the standout rookies of 2014, with nearly a year undefeated. Finally, the group was completed by the Englishman Wade Barrett, King of the Ring and 5-time Intercontinental champion.
The first appearance of The League of Nations took place on November 30, 2015, and they appeared dominant, giving Roman Reigns a beating. However, their credibility disappeared in the following weeks when the Samoan defeated them in every possible way, including handicapped matches.
Their image only slightly improved before WrestleMania 32 when they attacked The New Day, but the tag team champions defeated them in all title matches, and even with a victory at The Showcase of the Immortals, The League was humiliated by legends Stone Cold Steve Austin, Shawn Michaels, and Mick Foley.
Now, it is most likely that the three remaining members of The League will return to individual competition, where each has achieved their greatest successes.
What do you think? What did you expect from The League of Nations when they first appeared?
