WrestleMania 32: United States Championship Match on Payback's Kickoff
Just like in WrestleMania 32, the United States Championship will be once again relegated to the kickoff of the next PPV, Payback, which will take place this Sunday, May 1st, where Kalisto will defend against Ryback.
Although the masked man retained against Ryback with a little help from an exposed turnbuckle in the Showcase of the Immortals, the rivalry between them revived last Thursday on SmackDown, where the Big Guy obtained a clean victory over the champion.

Now, on the pre-show of Monday Night Raw, it has been announced that both wrestlers will face each other again with the gold on the line, but once again it will be on the free pre-show and not on the PPV.
With this, there are 7 confirmed matches for the Payback card:
- WWE World Heavyweight Championship: Roman Reigns (c) vs. AJ Styles
- WWE Women's Championship: Charlotte (c) (with Ric Flair) vs. Natalya (with Bret Hart)
- Intercontinental Championship: The Miz (c) (with Maryse) vs. Cesaro
- Tag Team #1 Contender Tournament Final: Enzo Amore & Colin Cassady vs. The Vaudevillains
- Sami Zayn vs. Kevin Owens
- Chris Jericho vs. Dean Ambrose
- Kickoff – United States Championship: Kalisto (c) vs. Ryback
What do you think? What do you believe is the reason behind the loss of prestige of this championship in recent months?
