Lewis Hamilton

Mercedes has recalled his "unforgettable" victory from last season's British Grand Prix, emphasizing that "winning in front of your home crowd is something else," a feeling he hopes to relive on Sunday thanks to his "fantastic car".

"This year we have a fantastic car, even better than in 2014, and it should adapt well to this track, so I will try to make the most of it. The factory team deserves to see a great result at home and I want to see Silverstone buzzing with the checkered flag," Hamilton encouraged in a statement provided by his team.

"I don't think I performed at my maximum level in Austria," recalled the Englishman, who finished second in the last race behind his teammate Nico Rosberg.

"It wasn't my best weekend, so finishing second wasn't a disaster given the circumstances. Silverstone is different. I can't describe the feeling I had last year, lifting the trophy again after so many years and in front of a sea of fans. It's unforgettable, something that I will always carry with me. I'm lucky to have fans from all over the world, but winning in front of your home crowd is something else," he valued.

Nico Rosberg

Nico Rosberg (Mercedes) has assured that he and his team will be "strong once again" at the Silverstone circuit.

"I feel ready to go full throttle on a circuit that I really like. Silverstone should adapt very well to our car with the focus on aerodynamic load, and I have learned some useful things during testing, so I am confident that we will be strong once again," Rosberg indicated in a statement provided by his team.

The German driver also valued his recent triumph in Austrian lands. "My week in Austria couldn't have gone better. Apart from the mistake in qualifying, I felt at the top from the beginning, and it was great to get another victory," he commented.

In addition, the Mercedes driver highlighted that the support from the stands "is truly incredible" at Silverstone and that "there is always a great atmosphere" among English fans. "Of course, I know they have their favorite! But I hope we can have a good fight and get the fans on their feet," he finally added about his teammate, the British Lewis Hamilton.
