A recording about an alleged fix in the Mallorca-Girona match has been revealed.

Joaquim Boadas

Joaquim Boadas, former president and shareholder of Girona, already has the recording that he considers vital to prove the match-fixing attempt of Mallorca-Girona, as well as Betis-Sporting and Girona-Lugo, and yesterday he delivered it to both the LFP and the RFEF. "We have presented evidence that clearly shows that Mallorca would receive money if they tied or won against Girona. In the recording, you can hear Miquel Soler, who had nothing to do with it, clearly saying: 'in the end, they shouldn't have been paid —referring to his players—, because they lost'."

The Girona Case

The situation now takes on a clearer tone, and according to Boadas, "Girona should be in the top division. I have submitted a written request to investigate Sporting because they were the only ones to benefit from Girona not earning points in the last two league matches. It is true that Girona won against Mallorca, and that's why it's strange how Lugo players celebrated the goal: they had nothing to lose. I want the Girona-Lugo match to be declared null or for Girona to be declared the winner."

Investigation and Consequences

Boadas also requests "the deduction of six points from Sporting and the consequent loss of their category. Girona should be the team in the top division. Sporting supposedly ascended through illicit means, and action must be taken. This recording must be taken into consideration," concluded Boadas.
