The NXT generation is taking over WWE
In the tournament to determine the challengers for The New Day's WWE Tag Team Championship, The Dudley Boyz and The Usos were among the decorated duos, but the final will be contested between four newcomers: The Vaudevillains and Enzo Amore & Colin Cassady.
The two semifinal matches took place on Monday Night Raw on April 18 in London. Enzo and Big Cass had their anticipated encounter with The Dudley Boyz, whom they had been feuding with since their debut, and defeated them with their Rocket Launcher finisher.
Aiden English & Simon Gotch also showed their dominance against a much more experienced duo in the main WWE roster. They controlled the match almost entirely against The Usos, who couldn't do much and ended up losing to the Whirling Dervish finisher.
With both finalists determined, it was announced that the final match of this tournament will take place at Payback on May 1. Unless something unforeseen happens, we will have a second consecutive PPV in which The New Day does not defend their title, although it must be said that no team has earned the right to challenge them so far.
