Sergio Scariolo announces initial pre-selection list for Eurobasket 2015

Sergio Scariolo has announced his initial pre-selection list of players ahead of the Eurobasket 2015 tournament. The 17 selected players are:

• Fernando San Emeterio
• Pablo Aguilar
• Álex Abrines
• Dani Diez
• Pau Ribas
• Xavi Rabaseda
• Quino Colom
• Guillem Vives
• Nikola Mirotic
• Willy Hernangomez

Juan Carlos Navarro, Ricky Rubio and José Manuel Calderón all miss the competition due to injury. From this list, Scariolo will have to decide on the final 12 players who will form part of the definitive squad for the tournament that starts in September.

Spain is in Group B and will be based in Berlin along with Germany, Italy, Iceland, Turkey, and World Cup 2014 runners-up, Serbia.
