Hello... I would like to ask you some questions about one of my favorite WWE wrestlers: Paige. On a scale from 1 to 10, how would you rate her as a wrestler?
Every wrestler goes through different moments in their career, ups and downs that could make a rating from one to ten imprecise. Currently, we can see a Paige who is very different from the one who debuted in the main roster two years ago, or the one we knew in the early days of the NXT women's division. A Paige who has become more of a Diva than a wrestler. Since we cannot deny her invaluable talent and the ability she still has to radically change her character and performance in the ring, at the current moment, with much regret, I would rate her a six out of ten.
What do you think the future holds for her?
Undoubtedly, she will have a chance at the WWE Women's Championship at some point. That's when we will be able to see her second wind, a new stage of success in her career. For now, everything seems to indicate that this moment is far away, but I can't deny that I am very curious to see her interact with the new generation of female wrestlers: Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch, and Charlotte.
Until we see what happens in the coming months, we could talk about a more distant future, in which she has already earned the merit of being the first NXT Women's Champion, which by the way she was never defeated for that title.
What would WWE have to do for Paige to return to how she was before? Would a new character be better?
Paige's character is very interesting. When she debuted, she was actually an Anti-Diva because her character was of a much more natural girl, nothing plastic. Her beauty captivated the gentlemen, without needing excessive makeup or elaborate provocative costumes. She also showed herself as a submission specialist and above all as a true wrestler. In that line, she can be rough or technical without any problem. Maybe WWE wants to change her character, but maybe that would be very painful for her fans. The only thing the company would have to do for the "old Paige" to return is to let her be herself and stop encouraging her "whims" as a young girl, so that she doesn't become a Total Diva.
Who would you choose... Paige or Britani Knight??
The following answer is very personal. I would choose the girl who cried tears of joy after winning the Divas Championship on RAW after WrestleMania 30. One of the moments that has moved my heart the most in recent years. There is no better wrestler than the one who gives herself to the sport with her heart, like a good fan, like a good athlete, but above all with deep Human Quality.
