ANOTHER DISTINCTION IN HER CAREER. The unbeatable UFC flyweight champion, Valentina Shevchenko, was crowned the best fighter at the World MMA Awards 2022, in a ceremony held at the Sahara hotel in Las Vegas.

Valentina Shevchenko had been nominated alongside Brazilian Cris Cyborg, American fighter Kayla Harrison, former UFC bantamweight champion, Juliana Peña; and Raquel 'Rocky' Pennington.

The winner was Shevchenko, who during the period between July 2021 and June 2022, successfully defended her belt against Lauren Murphy and Taila Santos.

Remember that Valentina Shevchenko has not lost a battle since 2018, when she lost the rematch against Amanda Nunes, she is also the champion with the most successful championship defenses in the women's divisions of the UFC, with seven.

Although it has not been announced who will be the next opponent of Valentina Shevchenko, it was reported that it could be Frenchman Manon Fiorot in the first months of 2023.
