After Uriah Hall's blast revealed that UFC ring girls were earning more than some fighters, fellow competitor Paulo Costa gave a hilarious response on social media.

MMA star Paulo Costa asked 'where is my thong' after fellow fighter Uriah Hall hit out at the UFC for paying ring girls £60,000. A number of UFC stars have raised the issue of fighters pay from the championship.

As a result the former UFC man brought up the subject earlier this month, slamming the idea that the ring girls on fight night are in fact earning more than the competitors putting themselves on the line. Hall revealed that some fighters were earning less than £10,000 for fighting, whilst ring girls were taking home a cool £60,000.

The 38-year-old fighter commented: "I know people that are making $10,000 to show, $10,000 to win.

"Which is ridiculous because you’re going out there and fighting and you’re putting your brain cells on the line and f*king ring card girls are making $70,000 which is utterly f*king ridiculous." His comments were then recognised by his fellow fighters.

One being Brazilian star Costa, who seemingly saw the funny side to Hall's pay slamming. Joking he would be happy to take on the ring role as ring girl after the 38-year-old's wage reveal, he tweeted: "70$ thousand? Where is my thong?"

Hall recently spoke openly about his mental health struggles admitting that at one point he 'looked at his firearm' after calling time on his career. Per MMA Fighting, he said: “I spent the last 20 years of my life committing myself, my soul, to one attribute, and then all of a sudden, it’s gone, it’s taken away.

“It was some really dark, deep places, and luckily, I had the right people around me to support me. When I say I felt depressed, I even at one point looked at my firearm, like, ‘Wait a minute, I could go down a really dark path if I don’t get out of this...

“If you don’t have the right support system, you won’t get out of it. If you look at like, people like Robin Williams, all those type of people, you’re like, ‘How the f*** did you kill yourself?’ I get it. At that moment, I finally f****** understood.”

After retiring from MMA, the 38-year-old has now turned his attention to boxing. As a result, Hall will make his professional debut this weekend when he takes on Le’Veon Bell on the undercard of Jake Paul's bout with another UFC veteran, Anderson Silva.
