Verona 2, Dayton 0

Brooke Rienecker scored a first half goal and that is all eighth-seeded Verona would need in a 2-0 victory over ninth-seeded Dayton.

With just under nine minutes left in the first half, Rienecker broke a scoreless tie and put Verona (11-5-1) on top.

Verona will advace to the quarterfinal round on Saturday to take on 16th-seeded Whippany Park.

Whippany Park 2, Hasbrouck Heights 1

Sam Heusser scored two goals as 16th-seeded Whippany Park pulled off a big upset and eliminated top-seeded Hasbrouck Heights with a 2-1 victory in Hasbrouck Heights.

Abigail Feeley was strong in net for Whippany Park (4-8-3), making five saves and keeping Hasbrouck Heights (17-6) off the board until the second half.

Ella Dicostanzo and Alexa Bowe were credited with assists.

Whippany Park will advance to the quarterfinal round on Saturday to take on eighth-seeded Verona.

New Providence 2, North Arlington 1

Carleigh Robertson was strong in net, making two saves for 13th-seeded New Providence in its 2-1 upset victory of fourth-seeded North Arlington in North Arlington.

Sophia Salazar and Lily Pergola scored goals for New Providence (6-11-1). Lia Cruz got North Arlington (14-3-1) on the board in the second half but it could not find the equalizer.

Glen Ridge will advance to the quarterfinal round to take on fifth-seeded Glen Ridge.

Glen Ridge 2, Secaucus 1

Katie Powers scored two goals to propel fifth-seeded Glen Ridge to a 2-1 victory over 12th-seeded Secaucus in Glen Ridge.

All scoring came in the first half and Olivia Gist made seven saves to keep Glen Ridge (10-7-2) in front. Keira Runnions and Ava Kotronis were credited with assists.

Alyssa Craigwell scored the lone goal for Secaucus (7-8-1) while Katie Lynn Schneider dished out the assist.

Glen Ridge will advance to the quarterfinal round on Saturday to take on 13th-seeded New Providence.

Belvidere 3, Wood-Ridge 0

Natalie Sroka paced the offensive attack for seventh-seeded Belvidere with two goals during a 3-0 win over 10th-seeded Wood-Ridge in Belvidere.

Sierra Crisafulli added a goal for Belvidere (14-5), who jumped out to a 1-0 lead at halftime and pulled away over the final 40 minutes. Allie Tiedemann finished with two assists.

Ava Rizos made 16 saves in net for Wood-Ridge (11-8).

Belvidere will advance to the quarterfinal round on Saturday to take on second-seeded Cedar Grove.

Mountain Lakes 5, Brearley 1

Daisy Duda paced the offense for sixth-seeded Mountain Lakes with two goals and one assist during its 5-1 win over 11th-seeded Brearley in Mountain Lakes.

Ella Scarola and Lindsay Gellert joined Duda with goals in the first half. Ellianna Caporusso also found the back of the net for Mountain Lakes (11-8).

Jessica Martin made a game-high 11 saves for Brearley (8-6-1).

Mountain Lakes will advance to the quarterfinal round on Saturday to take on third-seeded Hoboken.

Hoboken 7, Technology 1

Emma Conway logged two goals and five assists as third-seeded Hoboken cruised to a 7-1 win over 14th-seeded Technology in Hoboken.

Hannah Berman scored three goals while Emilia Rokeach totaled one goal and one assist.

Teagan Clark was strong in net for Hoboken (14-3) with three saves. Tiana Narvaez scored a second half goal to break the shutout for Technology (6-4-1).

Hoboken will advance to take on sixth-seeded Mountain Lakes in the quarterfinal round on Saturday.

Cedar Grove 10, BelovED Charter 1

Second-seeded Cedar Grove jumped out to a seven-goal lead in the first half during its 10-1 victory over 15th-seeded BelovED Charter in Cedar Grove.

Alexa Wolff led the charge with three goals and one assist for Cedar Grove (12-8). Samira Lukovic added two goals while Kaitlyn Wolff finished with one goal and three assists.

BelovED Charter (6-8-1) added a goal in the second half to get on the scoreboard.

Cedar Grove will advance to the quarterfinal round on Saturday to take on seventh-seeded Belvidere.
