Memorial Gate 2016 in Wakayama

With "Memorial Gate 2016 in Wakayama," the company Dragon Gate presented itself in this city in the prefecture of the same name located in southeastern Japan.

Three championships were put at stake; the first of them was the Open The Brave Gate Championship where Yosuke Santa Maria made his first defense against Naoki Tanizaki. After just over 17 minutes of struggle, the champion showed his worth and overcame his rival with his Neraiuchi.

In the semifinals, Monster Express (T-Hawk, Masato Yoshino, and Akira Tozawa) achieved their third defense of the Open The Triangle Gate Championship against the team of VerseK (Naruki Doi, YAMATO, and Kotoka).

In the main event, Shingo Takagi and Ruio "Jimmy" Saito faced each other in a match valid for the Open The Dream Gate Championship in a fight that lasted for almost 25 minutes until Takagi punished his opponent with a pumping bomber and thus achieved the first defense of his belt.

5. CIMA, Eita, and Punch Tominaga beat Genki Horiguchi HAGee.Mee !!, Jimmy Susumu, and Dragon Kid (15:54) with Eita's NOVA on Kid.
6. Open The Triangle Gate Title: T-Hawk, Masato Yoshino, and Akira Tozawa (c) defeat Naruki Doi, YAMATO, and Kotoka (18:53) with a High-Speed German Suplex Hold to defend the title (3rd defense).
7. Open The Dream Gate Title: Shingo Takagi (c) defeats Ryo "Jimmy" Saito (24:13) with the Pumping Bomber.
